This was a redeye flight and the middle seat's screen could not be turned off by the attendant. So it flashed bright commercials the entire 5 1/2 hour flight to Newark. Interrupted only by two loudly arguing passengers three rows up and a crying baby at the back of the plane. Oh and the thunderstorm which caused a very rough ride and landing. If full body scanners are added at all airports, I will decline to fly at all.

Alaska is a good airline, but I'm disgruntled about the trend in the US to pay for everything on a flight--cheap food, baggage, in-flight entertainment. In Europe food and entertainment are provided on flights and it's good food! not cookies or pretzles. The in-flight entertainment is still free for the most part. Our baggage allowance is small, and we pay for even one checked bag. This trend makes flying less enjoyable--more like a bus in the sky!
