Just when I thought Northwest Airlines couldn't make me any angrier, United had to take the cake.

Check In:

Waited in line for a long time, got up to the counter and the automated machine was not working correctly. Had to wait several minutes just to get someone behind the counter to help me. By that time, the 45 minute check in rule had lapsed and they would not allow me to board the flight. This was despite the fact that I managed to get rebooked on a later flight, get through security and get to the gate before my original flight even left. Complete sh*t!

Connecting Flight:

Got to Chicago for my layover, and was told the plane was delayed over an hour for mechanical errors. They strung us along for OVER THREE HOURS before telling us that they would have to find another plane to fly out. The flight disappeared entirely from the departure status monitors, and I was told by several United employees that I should just keep checking the monitors for a new gate to be reassigned. It was only almost 5 hours later, when I finally was able to speak to a customer service rep, that I was informed that the flight had been cancelled.

Thanks a lot for treating me like dirt, United! I think I'll stick with Northwest despite the fact that I completely hate them too. Airlines suck!
