Excellent departure and flight.
Arrived 20 min early but unable
To get an open gate...so sat on
the plane 30 min! Would have
been nice to take advantage of
the pilots efforts. But hey we
landed safe and sound!!! Gave
5 stars for exit row seats with leg
room for 6'5" husband. Worth the $20.

Flying has become so unpleasant in all domestic airlines over the past few years with no relief in the foreseeable future.

I arrived in Atlanta 2 hours prior to my connecting flight and waited at the indicated gate on my boarding pass. In the meantime, the gate was changed, but not announced. There was an Air Tran attendant at the gate where I and other sat waiting for our flight, but not once did she say the gate had been changed until I approached her at 5:30 and said why aren't they boarding yet. She than said the gate was changed. The flight was scheduled to leave at 5:40, but left early and I and at least one other missed the flight.
We spent the night at the airport without any compensation from Air Tran.
I have flown many times with them and have been quite happy. ATLANTA STAFF EXTREMELY RUDE

seat coming back on flight 1033 to pittsburgh 12D was broken wouldn't stay in upright position. only took 15 minutes to board flight coming back because they loaded from the front and back of the plane which was a new experience for us. would have expected airtran employees to help the single mother with her small child and car seat more--my husband ended up helping her get situated since she was in tears.

Our flight from Pittsburgh was orignhally delayed. When we go aboard about 10 crew members boarded from US Air with AT LEAST 3 Bags per person. We were then told theplan would have to dump fuel.
Then they announced there is only 1 truck in Pitt to take the extra feul.The truck never arrived. The USAir people deplaned with ALL luggage and suddenly it was not an issuse to get rid of fuel. Finally we got on the runway only to be told there would be a 30 min delay for take off. By now our connecting flight in Phila. was not going to happen.
We were told on the plane that we would be taken care of in Philly. No one had any info or options for us. The Very Nice agent suggested they put us up overnight after she could find 0 options for us. Then all of a sudden we were wisked away to a plan going to Raliegh/Durham. WE had No boarding pass and were told not ot get off the plan/to stay on the plane until it got to Orlando. We then went from Orlando to Fort Myers.
Thge agent in Philly talked about giving us (people were invovled in this) a $100 voucher for future travel. We asked the head of customer service about this is Orlando and her UNBBELIEVABLE answer was "There are other airlines". She was a smart alec blowing us off. I got her name and agent # to add to my report to SouthWest. By the way we asked to be put on another airline but were told Southwest does not have that relationship with other airline. I thought What about the USAIR crew members that were boarded in Pittsburgh?

You have to stand in line like cattle - You should have an assigned seat - if you are the letter C - you are definately in the back of the plane - if you had assigned seats you could begin by filling the back of the plane first (after 1st class of course - wouldn't want to upset them) and that would solve all the boarding confusion - people could board in a more timely and orderly manner. The staff is really great!!!!!!!

First time flying Southwest we paid the extra $10 pp for faster check in and it was worth the extra fee.Love the fact that they don't charge for bags
