I flew AirTran to Atlanta and took another carrier home. AirTran was far superior in service. I would fly AirTran again over the other airline carrier.

At such a low price, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised at how painless this trip was from beginning to end. Booking the ticket online was a breeze and they even gave an option for traveling with my infant, and I was also able to check in online, even with my son. As soon as I made my way from the curb, the airtran skyhop offered to help before I even asked. He gladly took the awkward car seat from me, as well as my bag and said, "I'll take care of it from here, you go ahead." Customer service does exist!!!!

Hotel was excellent, car rental was easy and flight was fine. That could be because we were traveling to Atlanta which has a high travel rate.

You are the first ones on the plane. But not hte first ones off. YOu should be the first off but the airlines do not enforce the safety belts on rule until the plane is totally stopped. The passengers in the back of the plane were at the front of the plane at business (what use to be known as first class or the only first class on Air Tran planes) class before we could even unbuckle the seat belts and stand up. Seems like if we are the first on the plane the attendants would make sure the business/first class who paid the higher ticket price or paid higher for the upgrade would be the first to get off and not be bombarded by the back rows. Very unnerving. I am not sure that paying the extra cost was worth being runnover by passengers in the back of the plane.

My sister and I travel together 4-5 times a years. Some trips (England, Ireland, Germany, etc.) are long hauls, some are short ( Chicago, Orlando, West Palm Beach). Delta is by far the worst airline flying. They are rude, uncooperative and surly. We missed our connecting flight from Pittsburgh to Atlanta. The Delta booking agent in Pgh told us he had placed us on the next flight because he thought we would miss our connection. When we arrived in Atlanta we were told the best we could do was fly stand-by or sleep in the airport. I'm 72 and my sister is 83 so this wasn't acceptable. Give me South West, Air Tran or the very best Hawaiian Airlines. Right after Delta is US air.
