This was my first trip on American Airlines in 20 years. I fly often and avoided American after several terrible trips, mostly due to the attitude of the flight attendants. I just didn't feel American wanted my business.

This time, American had the schedule I needed and there was no other choice, so I gave them another chance. Everything about the experience was good - nothing atypical. What I really did appreciate as my first leg was getting ready to land, the attendants made a good effort to read as many gates as possible for connecting flights. They also made the in-terminal transportation options (walking/tram) clear and where the stops were. That was greatly appreciated.

American has also partnered with American Express, so I now have access to their clubs. That's a big deal for me.
