the plan left phx an hour and half late, we made up time we got to denver and our connecting flight was on the ground 2 gates down we saw it ran to the gate and they pulled the plane away, no one called to tell them to hold it for 5 min. On the way back from denver they said the toilets were broke and closed all the bathrooms, no beverage service and was an hour and a half late.

This was a series of dreadful flights. Even the red eye from Phoenix to Atlanta 5/23 was packed to the rafters. I had to pay $60 to get reserved seats so I wouldn't have to sit in the middle of three on any of the four flight segments. The worst part of the trip was from Atlanta back to Phoenix, where a large couple got on literally three minutes from scheduled takeoff time and proceeded to fall asleep and lean on me in my tiny window seat. We were delayed taking off, probably so their luggage could be loaded. When I asked the flight attendant during the flight if I could be moved because I was experiencing severe claustrophobia she said no, unless I wanted to move to a middle seat elsewhere. A seat in business class was available but was not offered as an alternative. I was so desperate for room I was ready to stand up in the back of the plane, but then the pilot turned on the fasten seat belt sign. The lower price on AirTran is not worth the extreme discomfort.

I had difficulty putting my carry-on in the overhead bin. The bin wouldn't close putting my bag in "wheels first" as suggested. I make 6-8 flights a year with this luggage and this flight was the first time I've had difficulty stowing it. The flight attendant offered to check it but later informed me that she was able to stow it overhead a few rows behind me. Not real convenient considering I had a 45 minute connection in DFW but the attendant was pleasant. I'm female & 67.
