Just did a roundtrip US-UK and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality of the US Airlines flights. The staff were courteous and polite, there was more space and leg room than on BA's direct flight and with the special meal I ordered - it was edible too! One drawback is that you can't book a special meal online with US Airways - you have to call and do it. But they do offer it and if you can't face pasta or risotto again, choose something else - such as gluten free. All in all couldn't be faulted. Philadelphia airport on the other hand is a dump. And dirty - so go through Charlotte.. I will next time.

Had a pretty much inedible meal served to us. I would have been reluctant to feed it to my dog. I've had way better meals sitting in the back of the plane on other airlines.

The good news is that the lie-flat seats made for a comfortable 5 hrs. of sleep.

Good overall experience, slight problem with baggage at Chicago due to cargo door, liked the individual monitors. Food was pretty good.

Flight was on time, check-in was the usual misery, the flight staff was fine, but the seat was medieval torture. I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs, and there's no room for my legs!

Would recommend business class to anyone who can afford it. It is way out of the price scheme for almost all fliers

I was supposed to fly out of Phx to London on April 2nd on an evening flight. Due to BA's strike, my flight was cancelled and I was rerouted through Dallas on a flight in the morning instead. On a 2 hour layover in Dallas, the tkt. agent "lost" my ticket...so she upgraded me to business class for free.

When we arrived at Heathrow, we circled and circled until the Captain came on and said we had to divert to Stanstead as there was a problem in the control tower and we were running low on fuel. We sat on the tarmac for almost 2 hours before going BACK to Heathrow, circling some more and then landing. What was normally a 10 hour flight from Phx to London had turned into a stressful 20 hours of traveling.

Despite the rough start to my vacation, I did enjoy my time in London. BUT THEN....

I was scheduled to fly home on April 17. Did you hear about the volcano in Iceland? Yes, I was one of those stuck in the UK until I was able to finally get home on the 23rd.

All in all - this trip was a nightmare, but no fault of BA (Except maybe with the strike!). Each year I fly on BA and they always treat me with respect and kindness. I will continue to fly BA!
