    I was flying my daughter from Chicago to Phoeniz roundtrip. I gave her cell phone # for updates. On the flight going to Phoenix, there was a gate change and that info was not updated at the orginal gate, and no phone update. She almost missed the flight trying to figure out where to go.

    From Phoenix, she arrived at the airport and went through security...and a few minutes later was told there would be 3 hour delay, but that it could be shorter or longer-probably longer. It was delayed close to 4. Then there was not adequate food for purchase on the flight.

    The return was questioanable but we arrived early and had a plane at the gate. This is a good sign.

    flight departure was delayed because of bad weather in chicago{of course}so in order to leave the gate when we were given clearance,we were told to rush otherwise we would have been stuck;good info over and over again from the gate agents and even though we were delayed at least 45 minutes departing,they still made it with only a 10 minutes delay.

    Curb check-in experience very good both going and coming. All personnel were pleasant.Not a good flier so having a smooth flight is important to me. Flight pretty smooth again both coming & going.

    Take off to Chicago was rough on a clear day. Seats were cramped on the way to Phx was really cramped. Same airline as departure so I was confused.

    Excellent flight. No problems and we arrived exactly on time. Same experience on return. We fly American whenever possible and are usually satisfied with the service.

    Both flights left on time, and we arrived in Chicago about 20 minutes early. Complimentary drinks were served twice on the return flight. Leg room was not abundant, but it was sufficient. Having to pay to check a for each of us added $100 to our flights. For what you pay for fares, bags should be free.

    Other than the fact that there was less than 1 inch knee room in the chair, and the person in front reclined his chair to the max reducing my knee room to a negative 4 inches and the space for my arms and hands to nil, it was a nice flight.

    We received plenty of free soda and coffee, but alas, no 1/2 ounce treats.
