First time to the left coast and was dreading the thought of dealing with LAX and my not so seasoned air traveler family.
heard about SNA on a website so I looked into it.
best value and times were from Continental
I flew continental many times before to IAH and was familure with the layover ,so we booked it.
The best advice I can give you is to check in online, pay for your luggage and do curbside check-in at PHL,do this everytime and things always move smooth.
The flight was uneventful , breakfast was served, service and flight ontime.
Layover was 45min which was long enough to change gates and continue on. expansion work was still going on but it did not delay us at all.
Flight into SNA was on time with breakfast served again!
Deplaning in SNA was smooth.
Baggage claim was a quick walk downstairs to awaiting bags, and the rental car kiosks were right behind the statue of John Wayne.
Cars are avallible on site so there is no shuttle to a remote spot.
The real gem was the return to PHL.
Security was smooth with no delays, and the flight home was through IAH again.
The kids loved the DirecTV that Continental has on its flights, so the trip seemed to so much shorter.
The seats, well I guess the southern folk might be a tad slimmer than the rest of us, I was getting spoiled by NWA so I guess if I have to fly Delta and Continental I gotta drop a few.
All in all flying to SoCal stay away from LAX and just catch the wave to the OC!
