Roundtrip flight from Phila to San Diego was good for most details; only one delay. What was annoying was the late change in my return flight- stopover and timing - this caused me to reach my destination too late to get a connecting train back home; a problem at midnight on a Sunday!

We sat on the runway for over 4o minutes. When w egot to San Francisco we had 10 minutes to get to our connecting gate. There was about 10 of us. We were told to run and we would make it. We got to the gate as they were closing the door. They would not let us board. Can't believe with that many of us they could not have notified the connecting flight that we were on our way and to hold the door open another couple of minutes. They thought nothing of our delay sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes.... that was okay. The flight attends were plain rude, and spoke to people like they were doing all of us a favor.

good organization; orderly system; great attitude of flight attendants; flying now days is not fun but SW at least makes it as easy as possible; and we were early to arrive both coming and going! AND you don't pay for bags and/or the privilege to sit in the exit row!!

The flight attendants seemed a liitle on the cranky side except for one (a male) who was just happy on life. Unbelievable that on a non-stop flight from Philadelphia to San Diego that you don't get some sort of a small meal without paying extra. We packed our own, but just more to carry. Also with the long flight, no music or video in the plane at all. Good thing my kids are older. Last, of course with the baggage fees,(OUTRAGEOUS) everyone brings everything but the kitchen sink in their carry-ons, so someone else is always using the space overhead that is assigned to you.

Non stop flight was so-so. New ahead with airlines clamping down on costs that they no longer give you food,(not even peanuts or pretzels, nothing) so we had our own snacks. They do give drinks on the 5.5 hour flight. No movies or music, so bring reading material. Check-in was quick, paid for bags ahead to save the $4. But charged $27/bag upon return (no internet) when we thought it was $25. With that charge, everyone tries to bring oversized carry-ons (they need to start cracking down on this)and there is only so much room in the overhead bins that the filling of the plane starts backing up quick now and before you know it the plane is late for take-off. This also obviously ticked off the flight attendants as they were all cranky the entire trip. All in all it got us safely to where we wanted to go.
