“Friendly. got us where we were going”

Southwest is reliable, has a sense of humor and generally gets us where we are going when Air Traffic Control allows them to fly. Taking the last flight into Philadelphia usally involves a delay, but that is not Southwest's fault; blame it on crowded skys and the fact that Philadelphia traffic is often affected before other airports. Maybe Air Traffic Control thinks that we are unimportant. Of course I disagree, but that is like fighting City Hall.

Our flight from PHL to MHT on 3/23/11 was suupposed to leave at 4pm. It was cancelled, eventhough flights were not cancelled to Vermont, Maine and Connecticut!!! It was rainy but not stormy. The service center said because the cancellation was due to weather, we have no recourse. We spent 9 hours in Phila airport waiting for US Air to rebook us. Finally we boarded at 12 midnight but had to wait another 40 minutes while luggage was loaded. The airport personnel were not helpful. I know NH is not a big market but we need to be treated like Us Air cares, which it does not. I call them the unfriendly skies and will Never fly with them again!!!

Southwest used to be the only airline that got you out of PHL relatively on time. Flight 2525 on 6/3 was 3 hours late. Gate agents blamed weather, and said our plane was coming from Charlotte via Baltimore and Providence. USAir and others were flying on time, though. Southwest needs more planes, alternate plans or to just schedule the flight at 11PM to avoid these delays.
