I checked my bag inside. There was no fee, which was nice, but check-in was kind of manic. There're self-serve kiosks, but they've very little guidance, and there's a flight attendant standing behind them anyway. TSA was another cluster, but i got through quickly enough. The airport was pretty busy, but arriving 90 minutes before my flight got me to the gate a little under an hour before my departure time. Southwest does not assign seats, which was strange. I was let on the plane about half-way through the seating. I got a window seat, but there were no available emergency exit (legroom) seats. The plane was full, and i think a lot of families and couples were split up because of the open seating. No in-flight entertainment. Drinks, nuts, and crackers served. We arrived in Texas about fifteen minutes early. Had no trouble finding my baggage, though finding my ride was a bit trickier. When i got my suitcase, it was almost completely unzipped, but i can't be certain that wasn't my fault.

Returning home was fine. Even though there were lots of babies, they were well behaved. However, travel to San Antonio was made most unpleasant by two youngsters directly behind us. Their tantrum was unified and constant. A steward stopped by and kindly asked if they were the ones distrupting the flight and causing all of the trouble. Much later, when my husband asked the parents if they could not calm the screaming somewhat, the father yelled "no" and told him to go jump out of the plane (with other choice language). Eventually, another passenger told us that there were two seats farther back on the plane we thought was full, and we moved.
