Hadn't flown United in years so didn't know what to expect. Flight was smooth and on-time on the way out to Eugene, Or. However, on the longest part of the trip, the seats were very cramped, the t.v. screens didn't come down so that the safety regulations could be viewed and later the movie, nor was any food offered for sale (which had been advertised). Since this was a dinner flight, one would expect something-- even pretzels but nothing but soft drinks were offered.

On the return trip, the United plane never arrived at the Eugene airport to take us to our connection in San Francisco. After waiting almost two hours, the United rep appeared and announced she would make arrangements, for

those of us missing our connections, on other flights. This was done, and we were pleased to find we were flying Delta. Delta was great! Big roomy

seats, food for purchase, tv's in back of seats. All in all a good experience and we would definitely fly Delta next time instead of United.
