Uncomfortable seating, probably less than 3 inches between my knees and the seat in front of me. Overcrowded luggage compartments with people trying to avoid checked bag fees. Flight attendants were efficient but rightfully annoyed at the luggage overcrowding. Fees for seat selection, boarding early, etc. Not enough gate attendants to make things flow smoothly.

Flights from Orlando (MCO) to Ashville, NC (AVL) this past weekend. Both flights were completely packed. No knee room between rows (I'm only 5'3" with short legs and I had a problem). Too many passengers allowed to bring oversized luggage or more than 1 carry on and 1 personal item on board. Passengers getting irritated over luggage being re-loaded or rearranged. Felt sorry for the flight attendants since they appeared to get the brunt of the gripes.
The fees for checked baggage, seat choice, boarding earlier, etc. is a joke. Tell us what the fee is up front and just go ahead and charge a flat freight rate for everyone boarding since we're evidently no better than packed cargo.
