On longer flights (3 hours or more), Delta should provide food as a standard. Luckily we brought our own snacks. On the return flight at LAX, We walked all the way to another teminal and waited for our flight to board to MSP only to be told that the gate had changed (actually back to the terminal we had just come from). Then, at MSP, it happened again. We walked all the way to the furthest part of the airport only to be told that our aircraft (DC-9) could not park next to the bigger planes and the gate was moved (onced again, back to the same area we had just come from). Then, while boarding the fligt to Omaha (from MSP), the flight attendent made about 20 passengers (us included) move to the side and allow other passengers who were not pulling a small carryon to board ahead of us. I complained that the wheeled carryon luggage were within Delta standards and should not be singled out while passengers with much larger hand-held luggage boarded ahead of us. They later let us board and there was plenty of room for the carryon luggage. I will think twice before booking flights with Delta because of these practices. Out flights to Hawaii were without incident, except for lack of food.
