    “Quick, convenient flight, but DON'T splurge on First Class”

    United Express' non-stop OKC-LAX flights are operated by SkyWest using regional jets. I cashed in a bunch of miles to upgrade to "First Class." What a waste of miles THAT was. "First Class" on a regional jet is not even equivalent to Coach on a small mainline jet (e.g., 737, A320, MD-80, etc.). The ability to fly non-stop from OKC to Los Angeles was great ... saves at least 2 hours. But that was the most uncomfortable airline seat I've ever endured, and my first class "meal" was a cardboard box of individual snack items. Fortunately, the friendly (and sympathetic) flight attendant kept the free booze coming, so I didn't really care anymore after the first 90 minutes.

    Loved the plane ride. Very smooth with very little turbulance. Smooth landing. Loved the size of the plane with only 2 seats on each side. Very comfy. It was United Express and I will definitely fly with them again.
