    We thought we were getting a great deal on Spirit, as the price was less than anything else we could find online. They we learned we had to pay for our seats - any seat - so that added $20 to our roundtrip tickets. Then we learned that we had to pay $25 per carryon - so that added $100 to our 'cheap tickets'. So now we were either even with or above the cost of other airlines. Leg room was horrible - thank goodness it was a short fly.

    We will not fly Spirit again.

    The only problem was the weather delay and a bumpy flight in both directions. excellent service and no luggage fees.

    Overall, had positive experience. Slight 15 minute delay departing Oakland, but it appears it was do to a passenger's ID needing to be retrieved.

    Their planes are clean, not cramped and they depart on time (how about that!). Have flown this airline a couple of times and each time have been impressed. Only wish they flew to Hawaii!

    Everything went very smooth from check in to flight experience. Had carry ons so no check in for luggage. Will fly them again.

    Their only drawback is that passengers are allowed to take too much onboard. Otherwise, it's a great way to travel.
