As some might remember, Feburary played host to a string of gigantic snowstorms that made flying on the east coast oh so fun. When we saw the snow projections of a foot or better in Philadelphia the day before our mid-morning flight, we flipped out. Fortunately US Scareways (well, that's the name they've earned in our family for past experiences) actually came through. Though I had to sit on hold for a bit (which was understandable) I was actually able to make changes to my outbound flight for...get this...no charge! Something free...an airline...OMG. They'd taken the oh so nice step of allowing free changes to those flying out of affected cities, Richmond and Philly both being on that list (where we were supposed to go through). When another snowstorm hit Philadelphia the day before our return, same deal. Heck, they even managed to keep our flight times about the same!
Inflight was as expected these days. Cramped, mediocre service, etc. but we'd prepared for that by getting our own snacks ahead of time and such. However in a case where it took effort just to get in the air, that's enough to get a decent review out of me.
