    The value for the dollar was good, polite employees, enough staff to keep things moving on the ground, and attentive but slightly rushed in the air. Uneventful. I miss the free snacks though!

    Easy upgrade to exit row at the Admiral's Club, on time both ways. No lost luggage. Only issue-- broken reading light on return-- a killer on a long flight.

    snowing... 8:30 am to LAX. Board at 7:45, thinking... we're outta here early due to the weather. at 8:30 announce we are not leaving til 9:00. At 9:30 we're haing trouble with the "starter" looks like 10:00am. At 10:15 we can't pull away from the gate due to the ice on the ground... need to wait for a tow. At 10:45 pulled away from the gate... but now need to get in line for "de-icing". Finally at 11:30 after 3.5 hrs in the plane we're off for our 5 + hour trip to sunny so cal... so after 8.5 hours on the plane... I coulds been in Hawaii!!! (but can't complain about the Cali weather during our stay... 75 and sunny... all-in-all not too shabby!

    This was the first time I flew since Continental started charging for food. Honestly I prefer paying for the food. Although I think the food is overpriced, it tasted much better than the free food did. I was surprised how few people bought food on this long flight. As a result food service throughout the cabin was quite fast.

    with this airline was excellent. The times of departure/arival were on time depsite of the heavy rain when we left Newark. The passengers were constantly made aware of some foreseen turbulence. Legroom was very good.

    The US Airways part of the flight was quite good.

    Delays because of weather, but the crew kept us well informed. I did not like 'turkey pastrami' and this was the only lunch available for purchase. I knew better on the way back & got dinner at the airport instead.

    What I did not like was the switch in Phoenix to United. In a different terminal (took bus) and very small plane. The crew was not as friendly.

    These flights were on time and very comfortable seating. The Delta Sky Lounges were both very nice with good drinks and snacks. I am inclined to only fly Delta from now on.

    This flight went well--no delays. It was an overbooked flight so airline was giving $300 vouchers for people willing to go on a later flight. Return flight was great because it was on a plane that had on demand entertainment available. Only annoyance on this trip was a passenger who argued with flight attendants. She insisted that she had a bad back and needed to lay down across three seats though she only paid for one seat. During the landing she actually got out of her seat. I thought the flight attendants were amazingly courteous to her. It looked to be a very experienced crew on this flight so eveything went very smoothly. Probably the best crew I have seen in quite awhile.

    A 6 hour flight on a Boeing 737 is my idea of torture. Not only was it cramped, but the only entertainment available was DirecTV, which incurred a $6 charge - not even the usual free music was available. The attendants did the best they could under the circumstances regarding food & beverage service, but that equipment should be used only for short hops for which it was originally designed. Otherwise, the flight left and arrived on time.

    Continental is the big dog in Newark airport, so seems like most other airlines get 2nd class service when it comes to the security terminals. Even with my Gold status, I always seem to have a very slow experience when trying to get through the American terminal in Newark. There are only 2 security lines in total and one is often closed on a Sunday evening since there's limited departures left for the day. Nonetheless, after getting through that line, the service and on-time status for this non-stop evening flight back to Los Angeles seems to be top quality.
