flight delayed with no reason given. My husband checked the Continental web site before leaving the house to pick me up and flight was listed as 'on time' when they knew full well they were going to be late. As a result, he sat around the airport for a couple of hours---again. There is no one to ask and most Continental employees just shrug their shoulders when inquires are made.

Lufthansa personnel were very attentive and cordial all 12 or so hours we were with them. The airport security at Newark gave me 2 choices for pingpong ball sized snow globes I had purchased in Russia as gifts: throw them away or check my bag (for $35!). Two other airports didn't say anything about them so I was miffed at Continental (final leg from EWR to DTW). Then we sat on the tarmac for 2.5 hours for potential storms. All tolled, about 16.5 hours in a plane.....
