Flew down to visit some family last summer. Check-in wasn't bad, flight left just about on time. Seat comfort was as expected for economy (the seats are not made for long-legged folk!)... luckily the flight wasn't that long.

I arrived on time to the airport for my flight only to discover that it had just been delayed. And then over the course of the afternoon it was delayed three more times until we finally took off FOUR hours later. It was not stormy outside in New Jersey and it was sunny and beautiful in Atlanta. There was no explanation from Delta as to why we were delayed and why the flight continued to get delayed ALL afternoon. No apologies and they could do little to help. Once Boarded the seats were tiny, and as a small person, I still felt way too close to the other passengers. It was not my best flight - I will be avoiding Delta in the future.

Great flight! No problems! Small jets which are usually much smoother and more comfortable than the larger planes! Got out of Atlanta back to EWR while weather was threatening and home on time which seemed like a miracle in air travel terms!

Flight was actually early getting into ATL then had to wait a few minutes for a gate hydraulics issue so ended up arriving on time. No issues, comfortable seats in rear of plane. On time on return and same type of plane and seating area.

Carry-on luggage is a complication. Many bags are clearly overstuffed. Eventually they get into the bin, but what madness! I believe airline customers will force airlines to eliminate suitcases.

My flight was cancelled due to weather at the receiving airport and when I called Delta to re-schedule they put me on standby for another flight, but told me we were on the flight and just had to get our seat assignments. I was at the airport for 13 hours with a 7 y/o until they finally got me vouchers for a hotel stay and food and re-booked my flight for the following morning. I spent more time on the phone and with customer service than I did flying in the air.

Check-in for the flight was a nightmare. Why? No Delta employee knew or would change/add paper to the self-service kiosks! Really only 2 out of how many were working....all due to lack of paper to print out the boarding passes! And they knew it! It was the Delta stewart, directing everyone to stand in the endless line that was informing us of the problem! The flight was very late..due to mechanical issues somewhere else. The flight crew...YIKES! One stewardess in particular definitely came from NW. Example...during boarding she barked that the passengers should move to the left of the aisle (which not even one person can fit through....epsecially not most of the flight attendants) so others could board faster???? Not really helpful. Then while in flight, I was deep in concentration in a novel and she YELLED "Hey...do you want something or not?" when she came by with the beverage cart....no thank you! Never saw her again...must have been doing her personal business in the back...very busy lady!

My fiancee and I travelled from Newark to Atlanta. The flight was on time which was great. We didn't realize that the Continental Express Flights were on mini planes. My fiancee is almost 6 feet 3 inches. While boarding, my fiancee was not able to stand straight. He had to bend over to get to his seat. If not, he would have been in a lot of pain. There was not enough leg room and we felt like we were packed like sardines. We now know that small planes are not for us.

I flew from Newark, NJ to Atlanta, GA. The weather was extremely bad with the most turbulence I have ever experienced. We had to circle the GA airport for 45 minutes waiting for a storm to pass before landing. What made it worse was that a 300plus pounds lady sat next to me and squashed me the entire flight. I could not move my arms or body. The flight was completely booked so I could not change my seat. I complained to Delta upon my return home and they gave me a voucher for $100.00 which I do not think was good enough considering I had to deal with a back and leg ache on my vacation.

On the tarmac for 3 hours til regulations said they had to return to a gate to let people deplane - some did but they told us we might take off, which we did, another hour and a half after that. Flight crew was friendly and tried hard. We were told it was a weather issue in Atlanta, although many passengers phoned family/friends there and all was calm. I suspect Atlanta became overwhelmed with Memorial Day traffic and had to hold some flights for awhile. But if the fault is the weather they don't have to do a thing for the many passengers who lost their connections until the following day, right?
