The flight was all around pretty good , the only issue I really had was with the landing of the plan was not the best landing I've ever had coming to Miami and landing in New York. I feel a landing puts you at ease in ur flight.

As airlines goes in these days and times. American would be considered average. The Biggest complaint that I have is that American has the nerve to charge $25.oo to check in your first suitcase. This is really insulting, especially since the only snacks served on this flight was coffee, soda, or alcohol (in the morning, and water. They gotta do better than that, for sure.

The flight going to miami was awesome. the flight attendants were very friendly. offered beverages and snacks. there was an in flight movie. the flight returning to NYC wasnt as friendly. we did receive beverages but no snacks were offered. and there wasnt an in flight movie... just sitcoms

The flight was comfortable and on time. The flight attendants were not friendly (they actually looked annoyed) and we were not offered any snacks or food either for free or to purchase.

The AA check-in person was overzealous in checking the carry-on bags. mine was regulation size and she made me put it in the box. even the other check-in person asked me what i was doing putting my luggage in the size box. Rediculous!!! Later observed much larger luggage being allowed onboard. some so large they couldn't fit into the overhead bin. Some of these check-in personnel needs to get a life!

My flight out was packed and the head flight attendant kept asking people to put their roller bags in wheels first and get out of the aisle once you find your seat. He was focused on an on-time departure and I appreciated that, and he made me laugh. On his last announcement about the bags and aisle, he said, "Let's not make a career out of standing in the aisle."
My return flight was also packed and the first class crew was excellent, and the food has gotten much better. I had a yummy pasta dish and they kept me and my seatmate well-supplied with white and red wine, respectively.
The crew also made me laugh. Our landing was very rough -- felt like the plane just dropped onto the tarmac instead of rolling onto it. One of the crew then said, "Well, we've definitely arrived" and the cabin burst into laughs.
