Once again flying Spirit Air is a nightmare. they charge for carryon luggage and all food/drink, have the most uncomfortable seats which also don't recline at all. the flight crew either ignores you or talks to you like you were being disciplined in elementary school. Worst of all, the flights are consistently late. never have I taken off on time when I fly Spirit. It's the subway of the sky...oh excuse me, the subway is much more comfortable.

Some of the Spirit flights at the B concourse at LGA were backed up for some unknown delay. Apparently ventilation is not a requirement at this airport anymore. Stifling heat made for a very uncomfortable delay.

Excellent service at LGA and the Delta terminal very professional flight crew the only minor glitch we gave our Delta wheelchair to a Delta rep who promised to return it and we never saw it again and had to flag down a rep who came with another wheelchair just as it was time to board so that my spouse could be wheeled through the jetway. At FLL the only complaint was the TSA section was much more intense and took longer than TSA at LGA.

Other than having to pay for a carry on which I didn't have, this was great flight. This was my first time flying with this airline. Check in ahead to save time.

The flight was delayed for 2hours but given the excitement due to the hurricane and the media blow up, it seemed like a minimal inconvenience. The plane was not on the air tarp- when it was suppose to be, so many seniors were a little panicked, but all went well. the flight was smooth and the flight attendants were adamant about not lifting heavy suitcases to rearrange the overhead areas to accommodate and maximize space usage. This included stating clearly they were not being paid enough for that kind of task.

I really like JB to FLL and Burlington-- they are efficient and comfortable. I like the leg room, even if you don't get the seats with extra leg room On-line check in and printing your boarding pass makes for speedy getting to the gate Definitely fly JB

The incoming flight was 45 minutes late, therefore making our flight late. We made up some time, not all. We were served soft drinks, coffee, tea and had a choice of six different snacks. The flight was smooth and I would recommend Jet Blue (except it does not have ABC on their TV's).

Spirit lures customers with promises of very low rates and specials. If you join their flying club, which now costs $39.99 as I was not warned that there was an automatic renewal of the introductory rate, they send emails promising flights for very low rates. These flights are never available and their website will not let one go online to check in the few hours after the offer is sent out. Further, many of their employees are rude. After standing in line with my child to board after our zone was called. When we got to the boarding agent, she said, in a really loud voice, "you jumped the line, you have to go back." We were in a long line with many people. She yelled at everyone, it was embarrasing and rude. Another example: After sitting on the tarmac for almost 2 hours we took off, the drink service began. A young teenager who sat beside me, asked for water, and then for his credit card. He had no credit card. I asked how much the drinks cost as I was going to pay for his and our water, the stewardess said "look of page 43 of the Sky Magazine." My tray table was down, is the cost of water a secret? (cost for water $3.00) In the spirit of customer service, could Spirit have offered everyone free water after that long wait? As we were leaving th flight there was a station with agents offering three free flights if one signed up for a Spirit credit card. My child said " I don't think we want three free flights."

Jet Blue still offers comfortable seats (the "not pay for" ones are just fine unless you are 6 feet tall)the FREE snacks and beverages are adequate for short flights....no charge for luggage of any kind - and usually fair pricing..in this day and age - what more can you ask?

I was coming back to Ft. Lauderdale on a Sunday night on the 8:59 PM flight from La Guardia. You would not believe how much luggage people were carrying onboard. There was a couple with two huge duffle bags, two carry on bags the woman was carrying a huge purse and a laptop and the husband had a man bag and a laptop. No wonder that Spirit will start charging $45.00 for carry on bags. It has reallty gotten out of hand. But then again Spirit is not doing anything to enforce the carry on policy. They just kept loading the overhead bins untill they were all full. Then those people who couldn't put away their bags, the ground crew just took the bags and stowed it away below and the people didn't have to pay anything. Upon landing the ground crew just brought the bags up to the planes door and handed them to the passengers. They did not have to go down and wait for their bags. What a concept. That's how you can beat the luggage charge on Sirit. Spirit is cheap...you get wht you pay for:)
