    Though there was an hour delay taking off, our flight from LGA to Charlotte was smooth & shorter than expected.

    Staff on flight 1021 efficient and professional. We were taxing to the run way when a passenger got sick. The crew asked if a doctor was available. Captain announced that we were going to a gate. The sick passenger was escorted off by a uniformed officer. The flight was continued. Everything was smooth and orderly. I was impressed with how the situation was handled.

    Our pm flight was cancelled 2 hours after scheduled departure time due to a local storm. No flights were going out until the next morning - not the airline's fault, although they should have advised us earlier. My 80 year old husband had just buried his sister the day before and I was worried about him. The airline made no attempt to find a room or even a place where we could wait comfortably at the airport. They told us they could not make an exception for anybody. We spent the sleepless night in the food court of LGA and got home at 10 AM the next day.

    usair requires you to be a premium frequent flyer member to get the exit row seats. but i just went to the desk at LGA (no line) and asked for the seat and they moved me. their gate areas in LGA were not very full and was very nice actually. had some little work desks where you could plug in your laptop and sit. flight attendants were friendly and the flight managed to take off and land exactly as scheduled. returning flight was back to JFK (choose this due to it being slightly cheaper). when i was in CLT i inquired if i could switch over to the flight heading to LGA at the exact same time but they wouldn't do it. said it was considered a ticket change and would need to charge me $150 change fee. i laughed and said "no thanks".

    Flight was uneventful which is good. Could not check-in online both legs of trip. Customer service and tech support could not fix problem. I was supposed to be billed the online rate for bags (after several hours on phone)when charge came through it was at the curbside rate. Now I have to send letters to get reimbursed!
