The flight was good. On time and professional staff on board. The luggage bins above the seats are too small to accomodate anything other than a tiny bag. I was not aware of "planeside valet storage" and would prefer to take a flight where I can keep my carryon on with me.

Outbound was on Comair, a small jet. It was satisfactory but seats were tight and there was no service once airborn.

For the lower price, the smaller jet and smaller seats were okay. I wouldn't want to use it for a trip over one hour. Coming home, we were able to get the Delta shuttle which was very good. Seats and leg room were very comfortable and there was service including free beer and wine.

The flight is 50 mins. We were 45 mins on the tarmac at JFK, AND 40mins on landing at DCA, waiting to get to the gate. Return flight was delayed 3 times, making us late for a vital meeting. Will never fly to Washington DC or that area again. Train or bus is a much better idea

Maybe it was that the weather gods were having a disagreement and I just got caught up in the crossfire. Maybe JFK decided to do construction on their runways in the middle of my vaction. Maybe I was just unlucky. But no matter how you slice it, I had the worse experience traveling to and from JFK on Delta. What was worse, the Delta employees knew there were problems and was equally at the whim of some faceless voice on the other end of their phone. Oh well, never again. Delta and JFK have both lost me as a customer. Only if there is no other flight will I ever consider either operation and I will walk before I do both Delta thru JFK ever again.
