Got a great price on this flight. Under $500 round trip, but...They really shouldn't fly 757's on this route. The seats are very poorly padded and seem to be really jammed in. After 4 hours parts of my body were going numb! On the plus side beer and wine were free! Cabin crew were efficient and courteous but seemd a bit overwhelmed with a full flight. The inflight entertainment was good. Best part of the trip was being able to clear US Customs at the airport in Shannon, very quick and easy.

We had a very nice flight from JFK to Shannon. The dedicated check-in for business class was fast and efficient. The Oasis lounge that was included was roomy, had a good selection of drinks, and a reasonable selection of food items. WiFi was good though it dropped occasionally. The actual flight service was generally attentive and food quality was quite good. Wines served were very good - the port afterwords was excellent. The seats were not full pods with flat sleeping positions though they did extend to a reasonable sleeping position. The entertainment options were good though the screens were relatively small and kind of far away - at least for our bulkhead position. All in all a very pleasant flight and it was great to fly directly into Shannon.

Delta travel personnel searched seating and changed seating to say they were accomdating request/requirement to have seating with electrical power (to support breathing machine to be used in flight). Not only did the new seats not have access to power, but seats were no longer co-located with other 2 travel companions. Surprise on return flight from Shannon - new seat reservations were required becuase previous seating was cancelled by Delta.

The flight was full and the plane and seats were way too small. There was no padding in the too upright seats. There was no legroom and the arm of my aisle seat cut into the side of my leg when. The type of plane was just not suitable for a transatlantic flight which was even longer than normal because someone who lost their passport could not board and their luggage had to be removed which took about an hour on the ground and the flight was rerouted north an extra hour to avoid the volcano.

This flight was on the same Delta plane both ways. We were fine for an overhead bag on the way to Ireland, but were told it was too big on the return coming back on the exact configured Delta plane. Besides the fact that I had to pay approximately $60 additional in American money, I had to check through a bag with medicine in it. At 5 am I did not realize what was happening until my bag was gone. So I suffered with a monster headache for 7 hours to NYC. Then got caught in whose problem it was between Air France and Delta. Just another way a airline parts you from your money and little customer service to complain. And add insult to injury, you do not get miles when you book with a travel company. Who knew?
