    I had a 3:40 flight from JFK to RDU. Traffic from teh Javits Center was horrendous. I left there at 1:30 thinking that an hour to the airport was possible--apparently not! I called my travel agent when I realized I would miss my flight to see if I could be rebooked. I ws then informed that my 3:40 had been delayed until 4:40. Stroke of luck! However, we boarded at 5:00 and actually left the ground at 5:35. Normally this sort of delay would be ditressing. This time it saved my life. The next flight to RDU was after 11:00 pm!!
