I was late for my flight, in real danger of missing it altogether when the Air Transat staff leapt into action. I was checked in and running for the gate in record time. They performed perfectly when it counted.

I booked through Montreal and Air Transat because the flight was direct, at a good time of day both coming and going, and among the cheapest flights to Paris from my home in northern New England.

I got a great value, mostly because everything simply worked. The flights left and arrived on time. Same for the luggage. I'm not comfortable on a plane and every seat was full, but I was able to sleep both ways. Food was above average. No issues at all.

We flew Air Transat from Montreal to Paris because it was the cheapest nonstop in the Northeast. It still wasn't cheap by our standards ($714) but I was afraid to wait any longer for prices to drop, so I booked May 30 for Aug 31 departure. I had never heard of Air Transat before, but they should be commended for their comfortable leather seats, which are at least 2" wider than most economy seats, and that means something on an overseas flight. They provided a free dinner, even though they said they wouldn't, so we had brought sandwiches unnecessarily. No free wine, though. The flight was unremarkable otherwise, but I would certainly choose them again. We chose to take the bus from Albany NY to Montreal, a 5-hour ride, and I wouldn't do that again -- too many transfers and a missed connection stretched the homebound trip to 25 hours door to door.
