Our trip was uneventful, with no hitches or bumps or unwelcome surprises. The staff people were friendly, efficient, and helpful. The overall experience was short and sweet!

Our flight out was normal and fine. I finally got my seat assignments early enough so my family of 4 was together. Our return flight was supposed to have one layover in Detroit - they cancelled the flight and booked us on a direct flight. However, I had decent seats on the flight I actually booked - like row 15 or so. On the flight they re-booked me on we were still together and it was a direct flight so I'm pleased they tried but we were crammed into the very last few seats of the plane. I've never been that far back. Our view was of an engine and we were short maybe 5-10 inches in width from seats near the front of the plane. It was VERY cramped. They should put only 2 seats that far back, not the 3 seats like more forward in the plane. We also got all the fun of having the bathroom next to us. I give Delta points for re-booking us with a comparable flight and no hassel on my part but hate the crowded seats we got - I think the layover would have been better. Delta should give a discount to people forced to sit in those seats unless they book last minute.

I like flying American (being Platinum helps!) Flights were timely, service cheerful, baggage..no problems. Flights were filled to the gills generally so accommodating all the carry-on baggage was an issue, but seemed to be handled well.

The first flight had small, personal TV screens on the seatbacks and a few programs offered for free. The return flight had no entertainment options. Flight crews were busy, efficient, okay. Seats were, as usual, too close together, but thankfully the flights were only 2 hours long.
