I enjoyed the non stop flight going to San Jose more, but even changing planes in Phoenix was not that bad, only that I had to go into another terminal on a bus because it was a different airline. But I got a lot of help from the airport personnel.

In an effort to minimize any delays I did everything online that I could the nite before. Arrived 90 minutes early. Was not allowed to print my boarding pass because the flight was overbooked. Told to see an agent. Then, I was delayed in three lines (not enough staff to manage the number of passengers) and then told I was too late to board. They could have CARED LESS!!!I missed out on the festivities of my daughters wedding.

It doesn't seem to matter what sort of plane I fly in with Delta, they are all cramped for space. The leg room is bad. Getting to the window seat is tight and I am of average weight. If the person in front of you reclines their seat, there is about 1 foot of space between the seat back and your nose. The seats are narrow. It's uncomfortable. I just used up all of my frequent flyer miles and don't intend to fly with them again.

I gave Delta my email address, my cell, and home phone number but I received no notice of cancellation. I was not informed prior to my arriving at the airport check in that my flight was cancelled. I was given no reason. I am a 75 year old senior citizen. My friend helped me with my suitcase and had already left assuming I was okay in line to check in. I was then told to go stand in a specific line to reschedule. This line had several children waiting to depart alone. I was never informed of any other way to reschedule. I stood in line for an hour before I was waited on and was informed that the only flight was the next day. I needed help with my suitcase but no one was available. I called my friend to pick me up and take me home again! I was terribly upset because I missed out on a whole day of visiting with my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. On the way back, the lst plane was a small commuter which I was unaware of when I made the reservation. The 2 flights back arrived far away from the main terminal. I am unable to walk very far at a time without pain, but there was no one around to get me help and I only had 25 minutes to get to my other flight. I barely made it. The stress of all this made me physically ill and spoiled part of my vacation.
