I have no quarrel with the airline. But it's all I can do to keep my mouth shut when TSA violates my privacy. In the San Francisco airport (it was a red eye) *everyone* was herded through the x-ray machine. I always travel with a $20 bill in jeans pocket, ever since being left without a penny after my wallet was stolen from my purse. That set off the machine and as a result I had to lift my shirt while an agent ran her hand around the inside of my waist band. In front of everyone.

The flight left on time, but when the plane left the terminal the pilot informed us that we would have to be deiced before take off. He said it would take about 20 minutes. A half hour later, he came back with the information that since the airline only had 1 truck available, it would take about another half hour. When we got to Denver, 1 hour late, we ran to get our connection, about 2 blocks away. We got to the gate and was informed that the flight would be another hour later. Finally arrived in San Francisco 2 hours late for our connection to our reserved shuttle.

I certainly hope Air-Tran will have more direct flights after the merger goes through. A connecting flight even though out of the way might be tolerable. Add a three hour lay-over and you have the recipe for bad travel day. JS

Both legs of our (wife and me) round-trip were flawless (economy seating). In fact, the return leg (MSP to SFO) departed a few minutes early and arrived almost 30 minutes early. No problems with pre-printing boarding passes, stowing our carry-on luggage, or with the flights themselves. United flight attendants were professional, pleasant and cooperative. They even allowed my wife and me to move to an empty row on our return flight so that we had more room to spread out, occupying the window and aisle seats with the center seat empty. Only complaint is that their fee to cancel and re-book a ticket when the fare dropped $75 per passenger (potential $150 savings for two travelers) is exorbitant and not worth it unless the fare drops over $100 per passenger, which it will rarely do.

The real trouble was before the flight. I had checked in online the evening before my scheduled flight. I had 1 suitcase to check. I reached the airport with only 35 minutes before departure so that was my fault. I went immediately to the counter below the "Bag Drop" sign. The computer terminals all said "Check In". I had already done that. Unfortunately the "Bag Drop" counter was also a check-in counter. The only two agents at the counter were dealing with two parties who were checking in for their flights. One agent finished with one party and abruptly walked away from the counter and didn't return. By the time I reached a computer terminal and realized that I could get a luggage tag printed, the terminal instructed me to see an agent. The only agent was busy. After waiting for 20 minutes to check a bag, I knew I would not make my flight and finally was able to see the only remaining agent who put me on stand-by for the next flight. She said there were 3 more flights that day and all 3 flights were overbooked. The best that could be said is that the agent did not charge me the usual rebooking fee. After going through security, I slowly went to the gate; the gate was the same for both the flight that I missed and the next flight to my destination. At least 30 minutes after its scheduled departure my scheduled flight was still at the gate waiting for connecting international passengers. This flight, too, was overbooked. Eventually I got the last available seat on the next flight. The flight itself was not remarkable, but I do have complaints. Boarding was delayed 25 minutes. The 757-200 had jacks for headphones but had no audio entertainment. My seat would not remain fully upright; it slowly partially reclined.

Good experience, except the routing through Atlanta. It made it seem like the longest flight ever. NICE TO GET A CHEAP FLIGHT AT THE VERY LAST MINUTE.

Everything service-related was "good"; however, the seats were particularly uncomfortable...making this non-stop flight feel like it took forever. Also, drinks were offered, but no small snacks (unlike Delta, Southwest, etc).

“Never flying Frontier again!”

This was the first and only round-trip flight I've taken with Frontier--compared to what I've experienced with other airlines, it was terrible! I sat in the row in front of an exit row so my seat didn't recline, the flight staff was rude and overbearing (including standing next to me and staring at my phone until she was sure it was off--I am an adult, I think you can trust me to follow rules!). I find the practice of having individual TVs and charging lower-paying customers $6 for an hour of TV (they swipe a card for higher-paying customers) very strange and alienating--I'd rather be in first class with all those amenities or not; I'd prefer to sit a few rows behind someone with free snacks and free TV than to sit right next to them. Frontier IS an entirely different animal, but not an innovative or efficient one.
