Boarding was quick and plane took off a little early (plane was half empty). Enjoyed having the row to myself. All went well there and back, with the exception of a 4-hour delay on the return flight. Was given the option to change my flight to the next day and was told I'd have the same seat that I paid for (need a window due to motion sickness). When checking in for the return flight, I did not get the seat I was promised. The closest I could get was an Exit row window seat, which isn't quite the same. Yes, it has more leg room, but you have to lean forward in your seat to see out the window.

The inflight attendants were pleasant and entertaining. The only bad thing was having to sit on the tarmac for over 1/2 hours waiting for a gate and baggage area was congested and somewhat disorganized as to what carousel the luggage was arriving at.

Appreciated the timeliness of flights. We had a 2 hour layover in Denver on our way to Phoenix. Our luggage didn't make it to Phoenix with us, but was delivered that evening. The Reno stop was a surprise- not on our itinerary. We didn't have to leave the plane, and we were soon underway again. A Southwest employee explained how we could figure out the number of stops next time. We only had 15 minutes to make our connection in Denver on our last leg of trip. Amazingly our luggage did get transferred on this leg! Twice I was seated next to a large person, and wasn't able to use my armrest or my tray due to this. All the flights were full, so there weren't other options. We weren't aware of the "ABC" plan for loading the plane. We plan to check-in early next time-possibly by phone since our printer isn't working right now. This will hopefully give us more control over our seat choice. Overall we had a great trip.

I was very thankful I purchased the earlybird (EB) check-in for an additional $10 each way. If you don't purchase it, you will find it very difficult to find good seats together if you are traveling with others. They line you up, like cattle, in rows and groups of numbers. You have to ask everyone ahead of you what their number is in order for you to be in the right line and spot. NOT fun or friendly. It proved to be very trying for many people that had children or traveling companions to find seats or storage near one another. Did not know this ahead of time and feel Southwest should have been more clear about the benefits to EB or the hazards if you don't.

I think it was a good flight, however flight attendants were not friendly and the flight was overpriced. I do not understand why we have to pay to check our luggage when everyone else brings their "very large" bags on the flight. It just doesn't seem fair.

I was to be in a middle row. When checked in I was asked if I would like a window seat, which I usually request, so I was happy to get a window seat. On return I was to go from PHX through Salt Lake then to Mpls., but when I was to check my bag the floating service person said she could get me on a direct flight (my original flight through Salt Lake would have been 3-4 hrs late in arriving and then I would have had to stay overnight in Salt Lake probably.) She got me on the next flight which was about an hour or so later and I received a food voucher for the additional wait. I feel I lucked out at both coming and returning flights.

I fly from Mpls to Fl and AZ somewhat regularly as a retired person. I used to think Sun Country was a great airline that had friendly people and even free cheeseburgers along with non-stop flights at a very reasonable price. They don't go to Tampa now so not as much to FL. That was until this last trip. I escorted a friend that is seeing impaired to PHX. I told her we would just get food on the plane. They said they had pizza and cheeseburgers. When they came around with the beverage cart they asked what we wanted to drink and gave us a glass full. Never mentioned food and I thought they would come around again since it was a 3.5hr flight. When the attendant walked by after an hour I asked if they were going to be coming by with food. "Oh, that's all cold by now. Did you want some?" I told her we would each like a cheeseburger. "I'll see if we have any left." She never returned. On the flight back the plane was delayed due to weather, not their fault. No food since the flight there got it all. The seating was so tight I could not move my legs. Granted, I am 6'4" and would love first class or even an exit row but never able to get one. Noticed the arm rest in place on the outer seat did not flip up. If that was not there, it would give 4" more room. Even short person in center seat had no room. I guess we are all just animals squeezed in. Oh well, happy travels.

The holiday rush was evident Christmas Eve, so the check in time took about 1 hour but progressed in an orderly fashion. Upon leaving the gate late because of weather, we were 15th in line for de-icing,when the man in front of me had a seizure. The flight attendants were immediatly responsive, and we returned to the gate. EMT's and ambulance arrived, and they took the man and his family off the flight. The family was assured that Delta agents would be helping them with future arrangements. The entire Delta crew was responsive, courteous, and first rate in handling this emergency. They acted in a way I would want to be treated if a medical emergency were to happen to me or my family. We returned to the de-icing and were on our way, a couple hours late, but safe and sound. I appreciate the way the problem was handled.

Boarding took way too long because people were standing in the aisles trying to get their luggage in the overhead bins, and there was a long line backed up waiting to get to their seats. With the checked baggage fees, too many people are carrying luggage on. The airlines need to rethink their boarding procedures. The pilot kept urging people to hurry as we were about to miss our take-off slot.

I had a non-stop flight from Minneapolis to Phoenix around the Christmas holiday. From Minneapolis, the flight took off from the gate on time. The flight crew was very professional. The service was excellent. The return trip was a little different. The flight from Phoenix to Minneapolis was normally a continuation flight from San Diego. I checked flight status in the morning. It said the flight from San Diego to Phoenix was canceled. The leg from Phoenix to Minneapolis was still a go. I got to the airport and tried to check in. The original leg to Minneapolis had been canceled. I had been automatically rebooked on a 1:10 flight the next day. No good. An agent directed me to a canceled flight waiting line. It took about an hour to see an agent. The agent said they had a flight at 12:55am. I booked it. I got a travel voucher for $10 to eat in an airport restaurant. Observing the other canceled flight interactions with agents from the waiting line, they all seemed very relaxed and professional even though, obviously, it was a stressful event for most canceled flight travelers. My late flight still had the same great service and professionalism that I saw on the way to Phoenix. With all the flight delays and cancelations in the system (a few days back the enormous blizzard out East had hit), I think US Airways did about as well as could be expected for the circumstances.

I traveled to Phoenix with my 94 year old Aunt to see her back to Mesa. Check in was fine. The flight people actually smiled. We received pretzels with our complimentary drink. On my return everything was very good. I had the luxury of an empty seat between myself and the lady in the window seat. Flight was smooth and we were on time. I was very pleased with Delta this time.

This was the first time I didn't get a seat assignment so was wondering how it would work. It all went smoothly and we got good seats together. There was plenty of leg room and comfortable seats. We started loading 30 minutes before flight time and left the gate right on time. I would definitely fly Southwest again.

Boarding was delayed due to plane being late coming from Denver. Pulled away from gate and then waited 2 hours on runway. Changed runway twice and then no planes could take off due to tornado warnings. Was supposed to just be a stop in Denver but then pilot announced we had to change planes. Same thing happened on flight from Phoenix to Minneapolis two weeks earlier. The flight attendants were great but made for a really long flight.

The flight out was Delta - cramped but okay for a short flight. Fine snacks and even though the flight left a little late, we were still in Phoenix on time. The trip back was US Air. Left on time was much more spacious and, again, fine snacks. I would fly either again, but the US Air flight was so much more comfortable.

The flight left on time; flight attendants really seemed interested in your comfort; and the lay over was just enough time to stretch your legs, and go to a real bathroom as opposed to a aircraft bathroom.
