The food and service exceeded my expectations and I fly long haul alone with two children below 8 years old at least four times a year. We almost always have taken Northwest (now Delta) and lately have been noticing a change that repects the customer much more than previously. I no longer dread my flights that in the past have involved surly encounters with jaded flight attendents who don't want to do anything outside their job description, much less smile. Asian-based airlines still rule the sky with their thorough understanding of customer service but we do appreciate that Delta is taking a page from their play book. The in-seat entertainment system is a joy - no more lugging a portable DVD player! Hooray.
