After boarding (on time) we sat for about 20 minutes before being informed that Dela had changed equipment and we were waiting for a new pilot...who was coming in a blizzard....and we sat for about an hour-- not horrible and yet...annoying. Seats were comfortable, flight crew was fine...but Delta could have communicated sooner.

I had a good experience on the first part of my trip, but the return was terrible. On my returned flight I was not informed that the 1st airline I borded in BDL did not have a contract with the 2nd airline I had to take in Milwakee. I was tired and upset about that. I almost mised my connecting flight because I had to go and claim my bags and check them in again which I was not told in BDL. So when I see how much I paid to start with for the ticket my bags in BDL and then again in Milwakee just because the airlines do not have a contract with each other; the costumer whether is me or someone else has to pay so much. The checking of my bags in Milwakee was double what I paid in BDL and that is outrageous.

Smooth take offs and landings, loading and unloading, but flights were delayed. Fortunately, I was able to make my connection.

I was "upgraded" to first class. The flight was 2 hours and 40 minutes. All I got to eat was a "tiny" bag of pretzels. I have a problem with that. As soon as I landed, I had to go eat something. I was starving. It just does not seem right to me. I cannot imagine actually paying for first class - you do not even get some decent food to eat. Seems to me Northwest used to feed peoople more in first class. And what is up with Cheerios for the breakfast? What does that cost them? 50 cents? This just does not make sense to me. I would have been very mad if I had paid for first class.

Plane was full; service was fine; on time out and early in. New knee; the check in person got me an exit row seat and included my wife.
