They don't charge for luggage. Their way of seat arrangement is faster and great. The employees are always casual and friendly. Have always been on time unless weather was bad. great experience every time.

This was my first trip on Southwest and definitely won't be my last. I like the seating system and really appreciate the luggage flying free perk. Who would have thought that would be a perk one day? The flight crew was friendly and courteous and had a good sense of humor, priceless qualities in that line of work. My flights were on-time and uneventful. I would recommend considering Southwest to anyone planning a trip.

Good overall - but jury's still out on the seats

It was my first time flying Southwest and I was a little anxious about the unassigned seating - espeically since you can't see online how full/emtpy the flights are. So I paid the $10 each way for Early Bird boarding and it was well worth it - got bulkhead seats both ways even though my boarding position was A27. I think any position in the A category would be fine. I definitely wouldn't do general boarding though. The online booking process was smooth, gate agents were friendly, the free baggage policy is excellent. The only negative for me was that the seats were quite uncomfortable - it seemed like they reclined too far back when in the upright position, putting a strain on the lower back. Definitely not a deal breaker though - I just put a jacket behind my lower back and it was fine. Who knows - maybe it was just those bulkhead seats. I'll definitely fly Southwest again though - maybe sit in another row to compare the seats.

Called to verify flight and was told it was cancelled. It was too expensive to rebook so I drove instead, only to find out the flight was not cancelled and now I am stuck paying for a flight I did not use.

We haven't had much airline choice in Minneapolis so having Southwest come in is fabulous. This trip to Chicago was my first time there and first time flying Southwest--greatly enjoyed both experiences. Airfare was $99 roundtrip! Seats were leather (vinyl?) and roomy and I had leg room so quite comfortable for a change while flying. Got a snack and drink even thou our flight was only slightly over an hour. I like the method Southwest uses for dispensing drinks--they come around and take your order, then simply bring you your drink in a cup--no big cart blocking the aisle for 45 minutes. Purchasing tickets, printing boarding passes, and boarding the plane all ran very smoothly. No luggage checked but 2 bags are free for every Southwest flight! Will fly them again and again!

I like the first come first serve of the seat choice. The seats are a little rough, but worth the cheap prices.
