We took this overnight flight to Amsterdam to continue on to Sweden. The service on the flight was very good. Thank God we received a decent meal, as our first connecting flight from Great Falls was late and we had planned to get a bite to eat in St. Paul, but instead had to run to catch this flight. The only problem with this flight was the fact that there were aprox. 3 soccer teams also on board. All ranging in age from 12 to 15 years. The chaperones seemed non-existant and did not care at all what these kids did. The stewardess, I pitty their souls, had very little luck in controlling these kids. It is a shame that the adults in charge of these types of groups don't live up to their responsibilities. It makes for an unnecessary uncomfortable flight for everyone else on the trip. No chance for some extra shut-eye.

Icelandair provided good no frills service: on time, safe, friendly staff, no lost luggage. The short stop in Reykjavik hardly adds to travel time. While there are no free meals, they do allow to check in two free suitcases of 23 kilos each. That is more than most airlines these days. I will use this airline again.

I do a fair bit of international travel, but I will be thinking twice about it in the future. The airlines (not just KLM) are really packing people onto the planes, and it seems the seats are getting smaller too. I know the airlines need to fill their planes, but they are getting so cramped that people I know are thinking twice about overseas travel.

On the bright side, the in-air service was friendly and good.

    Thank you.

The only good thing about Delta is the seating in Business, roomy but the price for what you get is not worth paying the steep prices, even to upgrade using 80,000 award plus over $3000, I think I'd rather go coach and enjoy good food and hotels at my destination. The menu and food in Business is not edible, bring a sandwich, I have not seen any improvements, wasn't great in either direction.Think you can get better prices on other airlines and don't have to award miles to upgrade.
