Every time I've flown MIA -> DCA in the late afternoons (4-6pm), I've had the worst experiences on AA simply because it's a crammed bus with wings. The flight's always full, passengers aren't friendly, and you can just feel the stress in the air since everyone's rushed all afternoon to be on these flights. My flights DCA -> MIA have always been way more pleasant because they're later in the evening, everyone's looking to really relax and unwind on-board. I even find them to have more vacancies so they're definitely more roomy.

I am a loyal AA traveler. However, on this particular flight, our departure gate was moved twice, and, we were delayed time and time again ( I lost count ). Finally, we took off 2 hours late. However, what rubs me the wrong way was that we were not told anything over the PA system at MIA ( I received AA alerts from my cellphone ), and were simply told that our flight would depart in XXX minutes - it continued to be pushed back. While in flight - making our final descent into DCA - not one word about folks being delayed and missing their connections through DCA.

I will continue flying with AA - but overall, I got a sense of not being appreciated or even acknowledged as a *customer* ( not just a passenger ).
