American Airlines will now be my last choice of airlines. Both ends of our round trip flight experienced flight delays. On the front end of the trip we were in the plane for 1 1/2 hours before being able to take off and on the return experienced the same for 1/2 hour. But the worst unsettling experience was being pulled aside by flight personnel in front of 50 other passengers as I was getting ready to board the plane and being told that the seat I had purchased 5 months in advance and personally selected was already occupied. I was totally surprised by this and embarrassed to be so rudely pulled aside and blind-sided by this turn of events. My husband and I were deprived of sitting together and sharing food and reading items we had for that purpose. I sat by myself with unhappy strangers who had to accomodate my move over them and my husband sat by himself. This was a ridiculous move on the part of American and I will do all within my power to choose another airline, if at all possible!
