My husband and I were on a trip to Las Vegas that I actually won and were looking forward to arriving Vegas in the afternoon. Our flight from Miami to DFW was uneventful and I was relaxed and excited about our next part of the trip. After a two hour layover we boarded our flight to Vegas. That is when the trouble started. First, it was hot on our plane and as we taxied on the runway, the pilot kept applying the brakes. I began to feel uneasy and sure enough he announced something was wrong with our navigational system. We taxied back to the airport gate and waited another TWO hours. They said they were 99.5% sure they had fixed the problem. We got back on the plane taxied out and AGAIN we had to return to the airport. Therefore, they canceled the flight!There was only one more flight left to Vegas and it was already pretty full. After a literal sprint to a gate, a wonderful agent got my husband and I onto the 9:30 p.m. flight in First class. I was never so happy to leave DFW. We arrived in Vegas at 10:00 p.m. Vegas time and our room by midnight. It was not the way I wanted to start my Vegas vacation. I have serious doubts if I will fly American again. Oh by the way, two other American flights had mechanical failure and they almost canceled another flight. Imagine that!
