Flight on time, even though bad weather.
Crew were polite and smiling. Peanuts and ginger
ale, exquisite. No charge for one bag, luckily.
My underweight luggage came out not with
just a broken strap but where the strap had
been attached was ripped away leaving two
gaping holes, this took A LOT OF FORCE to do.
This was done prior to being told by security/
customs officers to put our duty free liquor
into our luggage with no prior warning! Then
ordered to put luggage back on carousel. This
was my home airport. WHY??? Also at check-in
at Memphis, in front of me the baggage handler
picked it up so high and thrust it with all his
might onto the conveyor belt and stared at me.
Every time I fly, whether it be the tarmac
luggage handlers which one can watch from inside
the airport, to check-in, they are always slamming
the darn luggage. DOESN`T ANYBODY WATCH THIS?
Do we have to pack with BUBBLE WRAP? MNGT?
That amount of force can easily crack a camera
lens or much worse. If these people don`t like
their good job, FIRE THEM! Many good people would
appreciate taking care of my luggage.
At least you didn`t lose it but it was non-stop.
Come on now Memphis/Delta, teach your employees
to respect other peoples property. If you go to a
restaurant and a waiter slams your plate of food
down and gets all of your clothes ruined, you bet
his butt would be fired. Same goes here. We are
PAYING FOR A SERVICE, THIS IS NOT SERVICE.
IT CAN BE FIXED EASILY...SO FIX IT. Thank you.
