Reserved a flight to Las Vegas from Mcallen Texas nonstop and had nothing negative to say about the flight itself but I had a terrible time securing front row seats for myself, wife, sister in law, all of us are handicapped and my sister in law has polio and wears a brace on one of her legs. The problem I encountered was trying to convince the staff of Alligiant that because we are disabled we would prefer to seat near the front of the plane but their response was that those seats are reserved for children traveling alone and for the disabled. I explained to them that three of the four passengers are disabled and they said that we needed to reserve those seats and get charged for those seats. I responded that I thought those seats were reserved for the disabled?, and they said yes, but you have to pay for them, and I said then they are not reserved for disabled and they said yes but you have to pay because we reserved them for you. I gave up and because we are disabled we managed to board first and sat at seats half way decent and to add insult to injury when we boarded there was a twenty something girl sitting in the first two seats in the very front of the plane. That same incident happened on the way back but this time it was a young man who sat at the very front of the plane, too much for seats being reserved for the disabled. I really don't care if they sale drinks and snacks to their customers and that they charge for extra luggage but I don't agree with their claims as far as seating for the disabled is concerned!!!!
