    Important flight cancelled at the last minute and SW Airlines could not offer or suggest an alternate flight! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

    ABout 30 minutes before scheduled departure the gate podium crew announced a litte problem: the planes battery was dead, the result of the previous evenings captain not turnibg off all the lights. Yes, I'm serious.

    Instaed of simply saying A"don't know" when the problem will be fixed, podium staff kept playing the "15 minutes more game", while trying to be Conan or Letterman. this routine became really old, dishonest and very annoying. Is Southwest the new USAIR?

    Security at Manchester, NH put me through the ringer. Very grumpy men with too little to do rummaged through my purse and took away a mini-Swiss Army knife that had a nail file, teeny little scissors and a blade not more than 1" long. No comment on my knitting needles though!

    Flight was smooth, friendly and on time in both directions. I like Southwest.

    For once the weather was good and Southwest took advantage of an on time departure to get the plane to Philadelphia 20 minutes ahead of schedule. The flight was very full and they still manages to get us all on board and on our way very quickly.
