When I checked in for the first leg of my flight, there did not seem to be any issues. I did notice that the status of my second leg (Dallas to Lubbock) said delayed three hours prior. The SW rep at the desk assured me it was only a 10 minute delay. When everyone was queued up for the first leg - we were told that there was a mechanical issue and we would board 20 minutes later. Twenty minutes came and went. We were then told that our plane could not be used and we would be moving to another gate and would take someone else's plane. (those people didnt look very happy). We took their plane and departed approximately 1 hour late. When we arrived in Dallas we all scurried to the gate where the next departing flight to Lubbock would depart and queued up. There was no SW rep for 30 minutes! Just a long line of confused and worried people. We were all able to get on that next flight, but we were not communicated to at all throughout the day. A little bit goes a long way. I have had worse travels...but with weather delaying my nonstop on the way to my destination and then hours of delay for the flight back, I wished I had just driven the 8 hours instead of spending even more time in airports. All of this for what should be a simple hour long flight.
