Upon check in I knew it was gonna be different. I am so glad I flew with All Nippon, what a classy, easy and relaxing crew. Thank you for the detailed service, not having to ask for water, tea and such was quite the change. Service was impeccable and quick to be taken care of.
In addition the food was great, my daughter and I enjoyed our meal and thought we had the best Miso soup ever. Thank you All Nippon you deserve awards for your service!

Just went to Tokyo and flew Korean Air from LAX to NRT and back.
Excellent service both ways. Very attentive cabin crew, free wine, and great food.
Seats were okay in economy. In flight entertainment was excellent with first run movies...King's Speech, Black Swan, etc.
It was such good service that I'll fly out of my way to fly them again!

I cannot imagine why anyone takes any other airline on this route. Singapore often has the cheapest airfare among all the airlines (under $700 in spring/fall), and offers the best service of any airline I have ever flown. They even have Singapore Slings served by the pitcher by the cabin crew! And those uniforms are just so classy. The food and comfort was very good, as well. If the yen ever comes back down in value, I will be taking this airline on this route again. They are even going to start using the A380 in place of the 747 for this route later this year. Getting to Tokyo from NRT is really not a big deal, so I see no advantage in paying more to go to Haneda, especially if the airline is not as good as SIN.

The service of flight was top notch. The crew was readily available and was very attentive. They frequently passed out snacks, food, drinks and other goodies that was often a pleasant surprise. However, the seats were extremely uncomfortable and barely reclined far enough to make an 11 hour flight comfortable.

Both flights: terrific, pleasant, attentive service with professional and friendly flight attendants. Food very good (with explanations of Korean foods for Anglos like me). Seat-back entertainment with wide variety.

I don't know how to compare KAL to any other Asian airline because I have not flown on any other Asian airline. Having said that, I've been flying for many years and have never been treated with such kindness and respect as I was by the KAL employees. The food was above-average for airline food and the selection of movies was too long to remember; that made the long flight feel half as long! The bottom line is that I would highly recommend KAL to anyone flying in its direction!
