on flight from LAX to Tampa, over 4 hours, Delta offered no music, no movies, no meal, only drinks. Compare with Asian airlines Delta exhibited the lowest standard of customer service.
I will fly Jets Blue from now on.

The plaane arriving in LAX had a mechanical issue. Early in the morning they posted the delay in the flight getting back out. I attempted to rebook to make my connection in Phoenix. I waited for 4 hours in the vacinity of the posted gate until they posted another gate. I went to that gate and while waiting in line they announced my name for final boarding at the original gate. I barely made the flight, was not permitted to sit in the seat I had chosen and was assigned. I missed my connection in Phoenix. Southwest had a flight that would have gotten me into Tampa fairly close to my original arrival time. United would not accommodate that change. I was not able to get into Tampa until the next morning. My two teenage children spent the night alone. It was not a happy Easter.

I hadn't flown Southwest in a long time because I was turned off by the "cattle call" boarding process. Plus, they weren't the cheapest. Well, this particular time they were. It was still open seating and 'cattle call' boarding but it was sooooo much more organized and depending on when you printed your boarding pass, that was your order for boarding. So we had pretty good seats for all flights. My only complaint was the last connecting flight we took the front row seats only to find out that front row seaters MUST put all their luggage in the overhead bin, not under your seat. THAT was a real bummer because our 4 carryons did not all fit in the overhead bin and the other bins closest to us were full. And the flight attendants did not budge on the rule. By the time we figured out the that all the carryons would not fit, our option was to go to the back of the plane, which were were not willing to do. Fortunately, another passenger in the row behind us took our two bags and put them under his seat. Other than that frustration, it was all good.

OF HUMOR, WHICH SEEMS TO BE LACKING IN A LOT OF FOLKS LATELY. I LIKE BOOKING MYSELF ONLINE - GOTTA GET AWAY! & NO FEE FOR 2 BAGS- THEY ARE THE BEST!
