The seats were markedly more comfortable and did seem just a tad bit more spacious. The customer service was very very good and that sets the tone for the whole flying experience. If given the choice between Virgin America & another airline - same flight, same price, I'll choose Virgin... I might even consider paying a tad bit more.

I didn't like the checked baggage fee ($25 each way), nor paying $170 r/t, nor getting a half cup of ginger ale, but what really ruined the trip, was the International terminal at SFO. That is where you must board domestic flights if you fly Virgin Air. You are herded into a security line that reminds me of the Bataan death march. I will drive from LA before I take that flight again.

Exit row 20 on a Boing 737 is a bulkhead and has no leg room. Flight went out full. Awful

Can you believe the flight attendant in First class would not take my suit jacket and hang it up instead she told me to hang it up myself which meant that I had to step over the person sitting next to me to hang up my own jacket. What a lazy inconsiderate flight attendant. This has never happened to me ever.

Both of my flights were delayed 2 hours and on top of that my wife's flight from hnl to lax was canceled so I had to wait for her at lax for over 3 hours. That flight was also American.

Besides my flight being late each way, I was to meet my wife at lax on her return from Honolulu and her AA flight was canceled. She was put on another AA flight 2 and a half hours later and I waited at lax for another 3 hours. AA is the worst.

I choose Virgin because I am one. I abhor SW because you can't choose a seat; on Virgin you can; they're comfortable and it's only a one-hour flight from LA to SF. Crew was very nice on both flights; safe and smooth. Whenever I think of airline crews, I think of Sully and the landing in the Hudson; it worked because the crew worked together. That's how I feel about Virgin.

Not to bad I have had better snacks but very short flight so pretty good. But Make sure you arrive in plenty of time to catch any flight from LAX Super busy line to check ID's way to long of a wait time....
