The flight was what I expected and it was good.
All going's on was as usual at LAX while waiting to be boarded. Just what I expected it to be. The flight was 15 minutes late but I have no complaints.
Same thing with the return flight.
United was good.

I hear people complain about Southwest a lot, but for my money, you can't beat Southwest for efficient, no nonsense, get you there cheap and on time service. It's no mistake that SW is a profitable company in an industry fraught with bankruptcy.
If you can, I recommend that you check in online early to get the best number in line - even logging in a few minutes after the 24 hour window means a few spots.
Also for a few bucks more you can move to the front of the line - which if you don't want to hassle with overhead bin space may be worth it...
