Had a good flight. The crew was very efficient. We actually left the gate early. The pilot was humorous. Only negative was on the flight back. We did not get bulkhead seating (which we did from LAX to MSP) and the seating was VERY uncomfortable (and I am short).

Got to the airport early, and Air Tran wasn't even at their desk to check my bags for over an hour! Otherwise, though, the flight was smooth.

“Never fly this airline - very rude attendants/wouldn't allow me to catch my connecting flight even though it still was at the gate - my plane I arrived on was delayed because of a storm I then was told that the next flight out was the next day - I had to”

I would never fly this airline again. When my plane arrived I ran to my connecting flight - the attendant would not let me get on the plane even though it was still sitting at the gate - I had to get a hotel that evening or sleep in the airport because I was told the next flight out was the next day! I missed my grandmothers surgery that morning I flew out and my return flight was the following day! Thanks US Airways

The airline and crew were fine. Service was fine. The flight arrived on time and bags were unloaded promptly. The plane was completely full. My husband and I didn't pay the additional money for the privelege of selecting our seats. Instead they were assigned to us at check-in. We arrived over 90 minutes before departure and were able to get aisle seats across from one another in the second to last row. If you want to sit with someone, but don't want to pay extra for it make sure to arrive very early to check-in, and even then there is no guarantee.

Two children and I flew to MSP with 6 large bags and six carry-ons. (They were moving to college.) If we had booked on other airlines, it would have cost me at least $200 more (including my return) for baggage. I love the hassle-free check-in and boarding system. A tenor flight attendant sang a lovely aria upon our arrival. All four flights were on time. We enjoyed the free snacks and the very pleasant personalities of the crew.

I checked in LAX 1 1/2 hours prior to flight. I also paid for one check in baggage prior to flight. Upon arrival to LAX, I asked the Delta staff where to check in my luggage and was directed to stand in line. After 30 mins, and moving along the line, I was told I could not check in my luggage, and the line I was in was just for security. I had to leave and stand in another line to check in my luggage ( which I thought I was doing in the first line).I check in my luggage. Now I have to wait in the original line I had waited in. It's 30 mins. remaining before my flight leaves. I am sweating nervous. Delta staff takes a few of us out of the long line and tells us to stand aside. Now it's 20 mins befor my flight. Delta tells us to follow them to the next terminal to go through security. When I finally got through security, I had to run all the way down to the end of that particular terminal, then go down stairs and then run about 1/4 mile back to my original terminal and run all the way to my gate. I had 5 mins. before the flight was about to leave. HORRIBLE experience at LAX. My advice. check in your lugguage with the skycab at curbside and tip them. Lesson learned.

After being seated we were notified of an unidentified problem I think it was steering, We were kept on the plane a few minutes longer than 3hrs with no choice to leave the plane. No food..no other flight available. the plane got hot, kids got loud and miserable. After calling to ask for miles as a courtesy to huge inconvenience.. We were offered 1000 each. Later it was increased to 2500 each. We had a three hour flight plus the 3 hour wait. I thought there was rules regarding this. 2500 miles for this was too low especially for a lst class ticket for two. I wonder if anyone got more..it was not enough. We also never got the free companion ticket for signing up for the american express card. getting to use any miles to get the free ticket is challenging. We are cancelling our american express cards and using whatever other airlines we can. PS the flight attendent for first class was obviously very upset too and passed it on.

When I got to LAX on the morning of May 19 at 6:30am for an 8am flight to Mpls, the line was about 1/3 of a mile long winding in and out of the terminal. Many of us thought for sure we wouldn't reach the plane in time, and in fact, I got to sit down about five minutes before the plane took off. And the seating was incredibly cramped. I have long legs which come up to the seat in front of me, and if the person in that seat tries to recline, it really hurts. Oh, one more thing, the flight attendant shouted out during the flight "we don't got no more breakfasts." This made me laugh.

“LAX & Delta need to get it together to minimize lines!”

Well, LAX and Delta really need to get it together for the check in procedure, checking in luggage and getting through the TSA security line. You have to arrive at least 4 plus hours before your flight and hope and pray that there are no other delays! You are expected to check in on the kiosk and then go wait outside the terminal to check in your luggage!! This line is typically an hour and half to two hours long. Then you have to get go & wait in another line to finally wait in line to for the TSA security line. (this takes another hour and half plus of your time). Then you wait in line for the TSA security check. Why can't LAX be more like ORD, MDW, or even MSP and once you check in at the kiosk, then you drop your luggage off with a Dela employee. Hummm...what a concept!!!
