We flew to Germany and got the usual friendliness of the crew. They cater to the children with games and special meal. No weather related problems. You can board early with children. The difference is in the US it is for all children. In Germany with small children (infants), but everybody lined up with children anyway and got boarded early. No second security in Germany (this used to be different).

Redeemed some milage and flew from LAX to Frankfurt Germany. I was the only passenger going to Frankfurt in Business class, talk about service. Food was excellant, the lay flat seats were nice. Arrived fresh and alert. Return flight was just as good, there were only about 10 people in business class. Only hang up was I had to spend the night at the Hilton at Ohare (Really good steak in the bar) because as it was a free ticket the flight from Ohare to LAX had no FF seats open that day, But the overall experience was good.
