I didn't know that AirTran had free snacks & it was a pleasant surprise! I was amused at the pretzel packaging which alluded to the fact that providing free snacks no longer happens. I was also happy that the air temperature was not too cold b/c I am generally freezing on flights.

1. Make a reservation and pay for the ticket. 2. Did you want legroom with that seat? 3. Upgrade to Economy Plus for extra fee. After upgrading to Premier Travel everything went perfectly. Skip over the long lines for security check, board with first group, plenty of legroom.

“Great Flight, Security Screening was Ridiculous”

Flight, Airline and Service were great. Security screening at both airports was ridiculous taking almost an hour to get through on each end. Sceening was random, poor and unprofessional. Lines were long and slow. Additional screeners were added at the last minute to try and accomodate the large crowds but too little too late. Be sure to allow more than the usual extra time if you fly a small carrier from either of these hubs.

Flight to BWI was miserable the plane was so cold that my feet and body was still freezing after getting to my hotel. The flight attendant in the business select section did not want anyone in coach to use the rest room in the front, of course no one paid any attention to that. The flight back to LAX was awesome, me and my friend was upgraded to business select seats with no extra charge and that made the entire trip alright.
